Training Schedule

COVID-19 Statement - after advice from England Athletics that activities such as club training sessions should be suspended until at least the end of April, we have cancelled all organised club training.  Please stay safe, and keep training alone or with one member of your household.  Our training sessions will return as soon as possible.

Tuesday runs start at 6.30pm from outside Havant Leisure Centre 
Objective = maintain/build endurance 
NOTE: Throughout the summer we occasionally meet at different locations. Please check the schedule below for meeting points.


Thursday training sessions start at 6pm from outside Havant Leisure Centre 
Objective = develop stamina, strength and speed


The club also organises Monday track training sessions on an occasional basis (please see below or on our facebook page to see if there's a session this week).

The track sessions take place at Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth, PO2 9QA, and are coached by Paul Mitchinson.  You need to pay £3.35 at reception (unless you already have a Mountbatten track pass) and meet at the 200m mark at 6.30pm ready for a warm-up (remember to walk around and not cut across the grass in the middle).


Please note: These are the club approved training sessions. If you do not run these as advised by coaches, then you run at your own risk and are not covered by the Club's 3rd party insurance.

At times of bad weather, we may need to change (or cancel) the planned session. These changes may be made at short notice. Changes to the schedule will be communicated through the website, Facebook and email.

Tuesday runs have a volunteer sweeper to run with the last runners over the designated course.

All runners are asked to 'buddy' up with a runner of a similar pace. Please speak to the session coach if you do not have anyone to run with.

Please wear Hi-Viz clothing and lights for winter running
